Under the administrative supervision of the KMBI Station Manager and working directly with the Program Director, the Senior Announcer ensures that assigned duties and specified on-air shifts at KMBI are of a consistently high quality, in harmony with the mission of Moody Broadcasting, and in accordance with Moody Broadcasting policies and the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission. Located at Spokane, WA.

• Lead the daily morning or afternoon drive broadcast efforts through operation, content, and serving as host
• Put together a well-planned, professional daily program
• Work with the station manager in the development of the program
• Regularly critique performance
• Research the audience. Know whom you are talking to and work to build on that audience
• Develop drive programming that will build the audience
• Dream and innovate by recreating and articulating the fulfillment of the mission
• Image and promote the station to the community by attending station functions and appearance requests
• Regularly meet with Station Manager for the fulfillment of goals
• Regularly create new avenues for "on-air" giveaways of CDs, books, etc.
• Record daily KBMI community calendars
• Assist in the on-air training for new staff
• Write and produce liners and image spots/IDs as assigned
• Recruit and record “Verse of the Week” candidates
• Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed

Five+ years of broadcasting experience is required. Please include a sample of your work with the application. The work hours will be either 5:00 am. - 12:45 pm or 10:15 am - 6:00 pm.  This will allow ample time for drive preparation and for programming, positioning, PR, etc.
