Morning Co-Host, Producer - WRMB

Job Description:

This position reports to the Station Manager in cooperation with the Mornings Executive Producer and includes the production and co-hosting of the weekday morning drive program. This broadcast professional will be an advocate for both the listener and for WRMB. This person will know what is important for the listener to discover, and will use creative ad polished methods of delivering these methods. He/she will contribute to the team with an objective ear helping each team member to do his or her job more effectively, with increasing creativity, passion, spiritual sensitivity and wisdom. This position is located in Florida.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to daily broadcast efforts, operationally and in content, serving as co-host
  • Provide input in scheduling guests, commentary, and story selection
  • In cooperation with Mornings Executive Producer, write and produce features, highlights and drop-ins
  • Edit several versions of each feature in order to be available for multiple releases later in the day or when appropriate distribute to other Moody O&Os or Moody Radio network
  • Dream and innovate—recreate and articulate fulfillment of station mission
  • Interface with co-workers on the effective promotion of the Morning Drive program, WRMB and other areas of Moody Bible Institute (including web presence-Morning Drive page)
  • As an assistant to the Host, align and ready each element of the morning program using Master Control, phone and feature pieces. Coordinate technical needs of morning efforts
  • Cooperate in local station promotional campaigns
  • Participate in post-production critique sessions and planning meetings and attend departmental meetings as scheduled
  • Assess top community issues in South Florida and follow up with appropriate action (public service announcements, interviews and so forth)
  • Increase community visibility by representing station at church, community events and remotes as assigned
  • Perform related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
  • Major Market voice, ideally with five plus years of experience
  • Advanced digital production experience
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Self starter
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
