Vice President – Moody Radio
Group:Broadcasting
Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Executive Vice President and COO of Moody Bible Institute (MBI), to give leadership to the Moody Radio Branch of MBI through daily interaction with the Moody Radio Leadership Team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Leadership Team of Moody Radio, facilitating regular group and individual meetings
  • In cooperation with Moody Radio and MBI Leadership, determine and develop a long range (multiyear) strategic plan for Moody Radio, with measurable objectives and goals, reviewed and adjusted annually
  • Lead in vision casting for Moody Radio, and monitor and encourage staff morale
  • Annually set short- and long-term goals for Moody Radio, looking toward the future and exploring new and effective ways of disseminating “content” produced by Moody Radio
  • Have a focus on expansion and growth of Moody Radio (facilities, purchasing stations, internet expansion, marketing efforts), and work with MBI Administration to integrate recommended expansion into Institute wide ministry plans
  • Set agreed upon goals with each direct “report” and set them free to accomplish those goals, holding them accountable, yet giving appropriate responsibility along with empowerment to accomplish the agreed upon tasks
  • Represent Moody Radio to MBI Administration and serve on the Administrative Cabinet
  • Represent Moody Radio publicly, being the “voice” of leadership and encouragement to both the Moody Radio team and our listeners
  • Be available for donor relations, interacting with those who could help sustain and expand the mission of Moody Radio and Moody Bible Institute
  • Be responsible for insuring a collaborative and effective relationship of Moody Radio with the MBI Stewardship team
  • Creatively explore partnerships with likeminded ministry organizations, exploring innovative ways to maximize effectiveness through joint ministry
  • Perform related and special duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
  • Substantial executive-level management experience in radio broadcasting within organization with multiple stations and geographic locations - required
  • Theologically astute and doctrinal compatibility with Moody Bible Institute - required
  • A vision for the ministry of non-profit, Christian radio - required
  • Working knowledge of Christian radio broadcasting - preferred
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic direction for a broadcasting organization - preferred
