Copywriter – Marketing & Communications

Job Description:
The copywriter develops marketing and communications copy and provides editing and proofreading as needed for a variety of Marketing and Communications clients.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop copy for Marketing & Communication’s clients on projects such as direct mail, brochures, CD packaging, annual reports, e-mails, print advertising, etc.
  • Work closely with Creative Director to ensure all copy is on target and meets Moody’s standards of excellence
  • Conduct interviews and do research as needed to write copy
  • Edit and proofread copy as needed
  • Work with production team to meet all deadlines
  • Maintain high level of accuracy on all projects
  • Perform related and special duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication, English, Journalism or related field
  • Three+ years experience as a copywriter, preferably with a variety of subject matter and media
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills and knowledge of generally used marks
  • Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style
  • Demonstrated flexibility to handle multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
