Wills and Bequests

Moody Bible Institute continues to receive a significant portion of funding through generous donor bequests remembering Moody as a beneficiary in a Will or Trust. Bequests received at Moody are important for the funding of current ministries, and for future ministry growth and development.

An Opportunity for Christian Stewardship

Smiling parents and childrenYour estate is the material representation of your life. It has been acquired and accumulated through hard work, careful management, and prudent investment. Your estate plan is the way in which you extend your responsibility and your influence for Christ into the future. Your Will represents a final opportunity to express your gratitude to God and your love for Christ through what He has entrusted in your care. We trust that as you make your Will, you will consider making a generous provision for the work of the Lord through The Moody Bible Institute. The Moody Bible Institute represents one of the most dynamic ways in which you can use your Will to extend your influence for Christ far into the future and all around the world.

What are the benefits of making a bequest to Moody?

Remembering Moody Bible Institute as a beneficiary in your Will or Trust offers the opportunity to make a more substantial gift than what might be possible during a person’s lifetime. It allows for the preservation of capital during your lifetime and affords flexibility for future changes should you decide to amend your bequests to charity. Some donors consider a bequest as a final opportunity to accomplish a definitive legacy gift after a lifetime of giving to Kingdom work of the Moody Bible Institute. Because of the tax advantages associated with a bequest to a qualified charitable institution, estate assets that otherwise would directly go to the government can instead be contributed to Moody Bible Institute ministries.
