The Radio Program of the Year Award is presented each year by NRB to a radio program that "Impacts the listener by being compelling, relevant, informative, personable, and entertaining, while demonstrating an authentic Christian faith." "Moody Radio did a superb job in producing the One Cry Prayer Summit," noted NRB president and CEO, Dr. Frank Wright. "Their efforts certainly paid off as thousands throughout the nation came together to pray for spiritual awakening and revival within the church and to seek the Lord for reconciliation and unity in the body of Christ."

The One Cry Prayer Summit was broadcast live over four consecutive Thursdays in partnership with OneCry. Moody Radio, together with Ambassador Advertising Agency and American Family Radio, brought together an unprecedented 461 broadcast outlets that carried the event, which focused on seeking God for revival and spiritual awakening. Wayne Shepherd, former broadcast program manager for Moody Radio who hosts several nationally syndicated radio programs, and prayer leader Bob Bakke, hosted each live nationwide broadcast.

"I'm extremely proud of our team for their hard work, and appreciative to the NRB for recognizing the heart, dedication and talent that went into producing this unique program," said Collin Lambert, vice president of Moody Radio. "The One Cry Prayer Summit encouraged the local church to come before the Lord in prayer. It was a powerful, deeply-moving time of the body of Christ coming together in prayer and worship."

The One Cry Prayer Summit began on the 2012 National Day of Prayer (May 3) and was followed by one hour of prayer and worship on the next three Thursdays. Special guests who led prayer included Dr. Erwin Lutzer, Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Francis Chan, Rick Warren, Dr. Crawford Loritts and others. Worship leaders who performed live included vocalist Meredith Andrews, the Chicago Tabernacle Singers, Steve Wick and others. Plans are underway for another One Cry Prayer Summit on Thursday, May 2, 2013.

The award will be officially presented to Moody Radio on March 5, 2013, at the NRB Convention and Exposition in Nashville, Tenn.
