On Tuesday, Feb. 26, Moody Radio kicked off Share 2013 with the theme, "Together We." More than 40,000 listeners are expected to take part in Share this year.

"As we seek the prayer and financial support necessary to continue day-to-day operations of Moody Radio throughout the next year, we know that God has called us to do the work of ministry together," said Bruce Everhart, manager of marketing and development for Moody Radio. "Moody Radio reaches more than one million people domestically and countless others around the globe with God's Word and that can only continue if we partner together with listeners, volunteers, community ministries and local churches."

Started in 1988, Share is Moody Radio’s annual on-air fundraiser. From February to April, Moody Radio’s 36 owned and operated stations around the country will host Share events, designed to connect with and encourage local listeners to partner with Moody Radio and, together, pray, hope, love, serve and give.

In 2013, Share will be divided into three rounds during the three-month period of time. Moody Radio is seeking to raise more than $9 million in pledged support in nine weeks. "This year we are also excited to partner with Compassion International to help provide safe drinking water to children and families in developing countries," added Bruce. "For those who partner with Moody Radio through a safe, simple and secure Auto Gift of $30 per month, Compassion International will donate a Water of Life system to a child's family." The portable water filtration unit, which is approximately the size of a bucket, can be set up and ready to use in less than five minutes. It provides over one million gallons of safe water for a child and his or her family.

On March 22 and 23, during the second round of Share 2013, Radio Moody will have their own Share. Launched Feb. 6, 2012, it is the only fully operational Spanish-language Christians speaking radio station in Chicago, broadcasting seven days a week on WMBI-AM 1110.
