Moody students Micah Bournes, David Todd Murray and Danielle Dalencour received Intercollegiate National Religious Broadcasters (iNRB) Production Awards in the Public Service Announcement (PSA) and Radio Drama categories. The trio, accompanied by Prime Time America features producer Paul Butler, will travel to the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) conference February 7-10 to receive their awards at a special student ceremony.

Each award-winning project was created during the students’ radio courses at Moody Bible Institute. Butler, who previously taught in the Communications Department at Moody, was the advising professor for their projects. “This was a great group to end my teaching career with,” said Butler. “They each bring unique skills to the program, but all three projects demonstrate an ability to sync their Bible training and theology with what makes great radio.”

Inspired by personal struggles, Bournes’ 60-second PSA reminds listeners that despite age, race or economic status, the common denominator in life is death. Bournes, along with fellow award winner Danielle Dalencour, hosts a two-hour program, Urban Worship, on student station Moody Campus Radio, where Bournes is also program director. He has also worked with Moody Radio’s flagship station, WMBI.
