Radio personality Janet Parshall has been named as the speaker for Moody Bible Institute’s annual commencement ceremony, which will be held Saturday, May 16, at The Moody Church in Chicago.
“I am thrilled beyond words to offer some encouragement as the commencement speaker to these wonderful graduates as they begin their assignment of taking the whole truth of the whole gospel to the whole world,” said Parshall. “In a small way, I hope to help them see how following Christ, wherever He leads, is the most exciting and satisfying journey any of us will ever take."
Parshall is the host of
Talking It Over
, a live two-hour call-in program that challenges listeners to examine current news stories and issues from a biblical perspective. She has been profiled as one of the top 100 “talkers” in Talkers Magazine, the leading trade publication for the talk industry, every year since 1998. Parshall has appeared on numerous national television and radio programs including Crossfire, Hardball, Nightline, Larry King Live, Donahue, The 700 Club, Hannity & Colmes and NewsNight with Aaron Brown.
The commencement ceremony will recognize students from the Chicago campus in the undergraduate, graduate and distance learning programs. "The students who graduate this year from Moody Bible Institute will enter a world filled with dramatic challenges and marvelous opportunities,” said Parshall. “Armed with a solid education that has served to deepen and enrich their biblical worldview, Moody graduates can step onto the world stage knowing, without a doubt, that God has most certainly called them for such a time as this.”
