Moody Publishers’ author Cathy Gohlke is a 2009 Christy Award winner. Her second novel, I Have Seen Him in the Watchfires , received top honors in the Young Adult category at the tenth annual Christy Awards presentation on July 11 in Denver, Colo. Her first novel,  William Henry is a Fine Name , was a Christy Award winner in 2007.

The ceremony, held at the Denver Marriott City Center, was in advance of the International Christian Retail Show (ICRS). Best-selling author Richard Foster presented the keynote address and Christy Advisory Board member Susan Brower of Zondervan emceed the event.

The Christy Awards honor the best in Christian fiction in nine categories. Moody Radio personality Chris Fabry, host of Chris Fabry Live! , was also among this year’s award recipients for his novel, Dogwood, which was recognized in the Contemporary Standalone category.
