On September 4, Moody Radio South celebrated the groundbreaking for new station WRNF 89.5 FM of Selma, Ala. After its completion, the station's 6,000-watt signal will reach Selma, Dallas County and the Maplesville-Autaugaville region with the truth of God's Word. WRNF groundbreaking

Work on the foundation and tower has continued through the month of September, and construction is expected to progress quickly throughout the fall. WRNF should be heard on the Alabama airwaves by the beginning of January 2008.

Moody Broadcasting's mission is to encourage listeners to think biblically, live Christianly, serve effectively, and share their faith consistently. WRNF will provide the Selma area with Moody Broadcasting's signature blend of Christian music, teaching and talk.

WRNF foundationWRNF also strives to be a voice for reconciliation among brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ in this historic city.  "Selma is moving towards racial reconciliation and unity," says Rob Moore, Station Manager for WMBV in Dixons Mills, Ala.  "It seems that God is using WRNF to help bring the community together."

The station's call letters, WRNF, are in honor of Robert Neff, longtime Vice President of Broadcasting at Moody Bible Institute, who passed away in April 2006 after a struggle with Lou Gehrig's disease.  Neff, a committed servant of Christ, dedicated his life to bridging barriers of nationality, race and geography, and WRNF will continue that legacy for years to come.
