Author and speaker Nicole Braddock Bromley spoke with female Moody Bible Institute students about sexual abuse during a two-day chapel series on November 28 and 29, 2007. Nicole, a childhood abuse survivor, is the author of the Moody Publishers book Hush: Moving from Silence to Healing after Childhood Sexual Abuse. 

Through sharing her own powerful story, Nicole encouraged survivors of abuse to "share their secret" with someone trustworthy in order to break the silence and begin the healing process.  True and lasting freedom, she said, is only possible through a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Then believers in Christ have the privilege of comforting others with the comfort they have received from God.
