Chicago, IL (July 2, 2007) — Moody Bible Institute has named Bill Blocker the new Vice President of Educational Resources. Blocker will provide executive oversight for Moody’s Educational Technology Services, Library Services, Distance Learning Center, Institutional Research and Educational Accreditation.
“Moody’s mission is to equip students to reach the world for Christ,” says Blocker. “This position will provide a greater opportunity to make biblical training accessible across the world, helping to fulfill our mission.”
Most recently, Blocker was the Division Manager of Moody’s Distance Learning Center. There he provided management oversight for regional classrooms, Online Studies, Regional Classrooms and Adult Continuing Education.
“I have really enjoyed working at Moody the past five years. I really believe it provides the best opportunity for solid biblical training in a world that is desperately in need of absolute truths,” says Blocker.
Blocker has a Masters of Divinity and is a candidate for a Doctor of Ministry (2009) at Dallas Theological Seminary. He serves as an ordained minister at Christian Fellowship Church on the south side of Chicago. He and h his wife Zelda have five children, Zaneta, Angela, Rebekah, Victoria and Jeremiah.
